Why does The Centre for School Anxiety exist?
- To normalize the stress within the school system that is contributing to school can’t and school anxiety. Which paves the way for collaboration and establishing a mutually supportive environment.
- To decrease parent and student shame around school difficulties. Shame exists because schools are pushing back on parents or parents have internalized society’s messaging around school refusal.
- To be a source of up to date information and collective wisdom on School Anxiety, Stress and School Can’t for external providers.
- To create an active network of external providers including Psychologists and Allied Health Professionals.
- To provide services to external providers supporting their sustainability to provide ongoing and continuous support to students.
